Bacon-Wrapped Dates (Stuffed with Cheese)

Ingredients:

  • 20 pitted dates

  • 1 pound bacon (preferable standard thickness, NOT thick)

  • 1 Block Cream Cheese

  • 20 toothpicks

  • Crumble blue cheese to taste (around 1/4 cup)

Directions:

  • Preheat your smoker or oven to 400 degrees F

  • Cut bacon in half

  • Mix cream cheese and blue cheese together

  • Add cream cheese mixture to a sandwich ziplock bag

  • Snip a small section of one of the corners of the ziplock bag

  • Fill dates with cream cheese mixture

  • Wrap with bacon and secure with a toothpick

  • Place wrapped dates on a wire rack and place the wire rack on top of tinfoil lined baking sheet.

  • Place in the smoker or oven for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is brown and cooked through

  • Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes
